AfriCurios, brings you this really original magick effect. In South Africa, ornate bead-work is very special so we had to work something into our new line of African apparatus.

The magician shows a handwoven Zulu basket (measuring about 14" across). He also produces a handful of beads. He explains that in Africa, the Gecko is a very special creature. Many of the African cultures believe that the image of the Gecko wards off evil spirits and keeps potentially dangerous diseases at bay.

This handful of beads have been blessed by a Sangoma (African medicine man), they contain the spirit of the Gecko. If we are fortunate tonight perhaps the Gecko will grace us with his presence.

With this, the beads are poured into the empty basket. The lid is placed on the basket. The beads are heard to roll around...............then silence.

The lid is lifted to reveal a beautiful beaded Gecko. This can be handed out an examined.

The basket is hand woven and the Gecko has been meticulously beaded by a local craftsman
